HW #4, P4 - Combined Convection and Radiation Heat Loss - 4 pts

A 3.0 m2 hot black surface at 80oC is losing heat to the surrounding air at 25oC by convection with a convection heat transfer coefficient of 12 W/m2-oC, and by radiation to the surrounding surfaces at 15oC. Determine the total rate of heat loss from the surface in W.

So for the awnser that is posted I can get it if I neglect to multiply the q dot by the area (3 meters) to get Q dot. I see the area term in the radiation equasion so I am wondering if this is just a coincedence and Im really compleatly wrong

No, it is not a coincidence. I posted the wrong value earlier. The correct value is online now: Q = 3450 W. I had forgotten to multiply by the area for Qrad.
